I remember seeing one of these engines when i was a kid working as the station pilot at Newcastle Central Station in the 1960's. They were always well polished and looked like a green jewel with the smart green livery. This design had a fantastic history, first built in1898 and the last batch built in 1951...what an achievement for this design, when it's right, don't change it.
