| this is a photo i took a few years ago of Ashington No5 also named "Jackie Milburn"who was a famous footballer from the mining village of ashington who played for Newcastle united in the 1950's. Ashington was also the birthplace of Bobby and Jack Charlton and this engine worked at the local coalmine. It has recently been restored and i hope to see it soon. |
